This month Dr Garth Manning reports on the WONCA delegation’s attendance at this year’s World Health Assembly. Our members regularly tell us that representation at WHO is one of the most important roles of WONCA, and Garth reports that year on year WHO staff are more and more keen to meet with WONCA and to request assistance with, and inputs to, various WHO documents and policies. He also reports on the recent face-to-face Executive meeting in Warsaw at the end of May.
WWPWFM (WONCA Women) Pre-conference meeting 17th October
Just before the Seoul world conference,the WONCA Working Party on Women in Family Medicine (WWPWFM) has organized a preconference meeting on 17th October with the theme of “Rising to the Challenge”. The meeting will be held in the CoEx centre (conference venue) from 9am to 5.30pm. WONCA SIG on Workers’ Health – Annual Report

WONCA Asia Pacific conference 2019 – Kyoto, Japan: Call for submissions
The 2019 WONCA Asia Pacific conference will take place in Kyoto, Japan, from 15th to 18th May 2019. Kyoto is one of the most-visited – and most beautiful – cities in Japan. The Conference Scientific Committee is now calling for proposals for symposium or workshop sessions (call for papers will open on 1st October).
